Justice for Catherine Deveny

After attempting to avoid Catherine Deveny's annoying appearances on Q & A and stupid columns in The Age newspaper, and then hearing the deliberately obscene and hurtful comments she broadcast over Twitter, I was glad when The Age got rid of Catherine Deveny.
Incredibly, she is in a hole and keeps digging. In a column posted after she was sacked from The Age, she says (my emphasis): "I won't be changing myself. And I won't be explaining myself. You either get me or you don't." This contradiction is within her explanatory column (of 1,912 words).
One disturbing quote from her (my emphasis) is: "I'm edgy. I push the envelope. I can be taken out of context. To be honest, I don't agree with everything I write either. I might not be your cup of tea, but at least I'm not boring." To not agree with things that you write - isn't this like insanity?
Deliberately obscene people throughout history have rationalised what they do as "not being boring" and "edgy". I personally got over this type of behaviour by the sixth grade.
She justified her comment "I do so hope Bindi Irwin gets laid" with her intention to "expose celebrity raunch culture". Let me say that "I hope Catherine Deveny gets laid off" from any job in the future where she has the opportunity to publish her hurtful bile. I justify this by saying I am attacking "columnist retch culture". Hopefully Catherine Deveny will fade into obscurity. Karma wins.
