Generation Y sees privacy differently. Generation Y is the first generation to socialise daily using electronic means (eg Facebook, Twitter, SMS messaging, MSN/Yahoo messenger). This is the main way that they communicate.
Facebook allows us to post messages and photographs online, while choosing who can see them. The notion of privacy is changing.

Information that is controlled by others on behalf of you.
Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg has a weak conception of what users expect in terms of privacy. Many teenagers do not realise or care that what they write on the internet privately now may be available to everyone in the future.
